Midwifery Graduate Program

    The Master Program has started to be implemented since 2000 in the department where the European Union Midwifery Directives (80/154 / EEC-80/155 / EEC) are implemented and there are 3 academic staff (2 Associate Professors, 1 Assistant Professor) in the department.

    Aim of the MA Program is training Scientist midwives who have social, cultural, physical and psychological dimensions of midwifery practices and advanced knowledge, skills and attitudes. This program includes compulsory courses about Midwifery profession and the general knowledge. In addition to compulsory courses in the curriculum, there are elective courses for them to choose according to their preferences.

    Graduate midwives work in the public and private sector. They work In Ministry Of Health Hospitals and basic health care services, private medical centres and university hospitals, midwifery departments of health science faculties.

    Graduates who successfully completed the Master's Degree may apply to doctorate (third cycle) programmes in the same or in related disciplines.
