Pharmacognosy Graduate Program
The program includes topics such as natural product chemistry, recognition of drugs obtained from plants, collection under appropriate conditions, storage, preparation in accordance with official standards, and applications related to HPLC, GC-MS and spectroscopic analysis are also carried out. The program is designed to be able to work with different classes of secondary metabolites in plants, thus it is possible to apply these different metabolites from natural sources, as well as their extraction, isolation and identification, in different chemical and chromatographic methods. The program also covers the application areas of natural compounds in medicine and pharmaceutical industry.
Our graduates can work as researchers in the pharmaceutical industry, research centers or Pharmacy faculties.
