MISSION AND VISION

Mersin University Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Department aims to better understand the subjects related to stem and precursor cells with Tissue and Cell Production practices. Taking advantage of the extraordinary potential of stem cells, our department aims to continue research (experimental and clinical studies, basic sciences, tissue engineering), production (cell and cell products in clinical standards), education and consultancy activities at national and international levels. In addition, it aims to prepare the ground for the application of advanced regenerative medicine methods in the treatment of human diseases by observing medicine and ethical values. Mersin University Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine Department also aims to be a regional power in stem cell transplantation and stem cell research. In addition to genetic disorders, cancer treatments and blood diseases, it is our main goal to be an active and leader in many disciplines such as neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, endocrinology, dermatology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pharmacogenetics and biotechnological studies. In the production of human-derived cells; It is aimed to develop "Biotechnological drugs and methods" with Good Manufacturing Conditions (GMP) and Good Laboratory Conditions (GLP).
